Vivo launches V5 Plus with dual selfie cameras, 4GB RAM in India for Rs 27980

Vivo has finally launched the V5 Plus in India with dual selfie cameras, as expected. The company had launched the Vivo V5 back in November last year. Lets take a look at its features, specifications and pricing below.

Vivo V5 Plus Specifications

The Vivo V5 Plus features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED In-Cell display, that has a pixel density of 401 PPI and is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory, which cannot be expanded further since it does not come with a microSD card slot. The device runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The V5 Plus rocks a 16 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). On the front, it boasts of a dual selfie camera setup – there is a 20 megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and a 8 megapixel secondary camera for capturing depth information while clicking selfies. Both of them can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. It supports Dual SIM (nano + nano), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and AKM4376 DAC for an enhanced audio experience. There is a fingerprint sensor onboard, that has been embedded into the home button and it unlocks the phone in just 0.2 seconds. It has a full metal unibody design, that is 7.26mm thick, weighs 158.6 grams and has a unique U-shaped antenna design.
The V5 Plus includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, USB OTG and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3160mAh battery under the hood with support for fast charging.
The Vivo V5 Plus is available in Gold color only and has been priced at Rs. 27,980 in India. It can be pre-booked starting from tomorrow (January 24) and the first sale will start from February 1, 2017.
